Don’t just “deal with it” or “get over it”.
I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS. YES THIS IS GOOD. I don’t want you to “get over” my sexuality any more than I want you to “tolerate” my sexuality.
seriously tearing up at 2am over steve irwin
such an incredible person who really cherished animals, his death will always hurt my heart. always
gets bitten on the neck by a snake.
"Can you get a close-in on this?"
I will never not love this man with all my heart.
So gentle. Obviously I didn’t know him in person but the way he didn’t react in anger here seems to show a very kind spirit. I wish people wouldn’t joke about how he died. People wouldn’t joke about a firefighter who died in a fire. Steve was all about showing us that even dangerous animals deserve our admiration, respect, and even a sort of affection, and that was something worth doing, even if he seemed goofy and silly sometimes.
I wanted to BE this man as a kid. I did. The world was so scary and he was always so excited about it all, I wanted to be excited too. I hate jokes about his death and how people talk about him like he was crazy. He was alive. He loved every single day he was on this planet and if that’s something people think is worth ridicule, then that just makes me feel sorry for them.
I love Steve Irwin.
I am constantly amazed by Hannibal’s propensity to be offended at being accused of something he actually did.
My sexual orientation is girls who look like they could beat me up and boys who look like they wouldn’t stand a chance
What is DBT and how does it differ from CBT? If CBT has never worked for me (after 8 years and 5 different therapists), might DBT still work?
DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) focuses on emotion regulation, stress tolerance, interpersonal problem solving, and impulse control. It’s often used for things like borderline personality disorder, and from what I can tell, focuses more on social aspects than CBT does. I’ve never been through CBT, but that’s what reading about it says. Maybe some readers who’ve been through both can help you?
At any rate, there’s totally a chance that DBT could work for you, and if you ask me, it’s always worth a try.
All the best
As someone who loves DBT, and has benefited greatly, DBT is all about balance. Looking at two different extremes/possibilities, and figuring out which one of those is the most productive. I absolutely adore it, and it’s given me a great handle on my life.
do action movies know they can have more than one female character
Someone should make an action movie with all girls except for one guy and have no explanation or mention of it in the movie and then pay all of the actors to act surprised like they’d never noticed when they get the inevitable storm of questions.
This one male must have a shower scene, be saved by the protagonist at least once, and fall in love with a lead female.
wine tastes so bad. I’m convinced the whole world is in on an inside joke together trying to persuade me that wine tastes good to them. there’s no way any one can like the taste of it. it’s like bug spray. the whole frickin world pretends to like bug spray. I don’t understand why. stop the madness
wine is an acquired taste. if you don’t like it, acquire some taste
Friendly reminder that using “they/them” pronouns for someone who has specifically asked for another pronoun set is still misgendering (or degendering). Do not do this.
If no pronoun preference has been stated, then “they/them” is probably both safe and preferable to use, as it is the default “unknown” pronoun set. However, once someone has actually stated a pronoun set, you don’t get to use “they/them” without said person’s permission. You are not somehow being more inclusive by doing this. You are just a douchenozzle.
